Budapest is the capital and the largest city of Hungary, and one of the largest cities in the European Union. It is the country’s principal political, cultural, commercial, industrial, and transportation centre, sometimes described as the primate city of Hungary. Today we present you the best lighting stores in the city!
Adam Lamp was founded in Budapest by Adam Juhasz, a Hungarian designer who after his graduation from Moholy- Nagy University Of Art and Design started creating lighting objects that made up from hand-assembled die cut parts, having real character and quality. His enthusiasm for lamps feeds upon his love for light and inspiration for intuitive creation carrying energy. His creatures are based on the play of shadow and light that makes a unique and peculiar phenomenon.
It all started Károlyi György procuring original antique lamps and chandeliersat various fairs and auctions back in 1981. He was enchanted by their beauty and elegance, so he decided to get more and more. In the beginning their company only restored and sold these lamps, but five years after the birth of the company we came up with the idea to design and produce our own ones. Their first collection of twenty self-designed lamps was discovered by German and Austrian antiquity vendors. Soon after establishing contact with additional vendors, they became experts on antique lamps ever since.
The KARE brand symbolises furnishing ideas which are unique, non-conformist and authentic – never boring and always full of imagination and inspiration. Ever since 1981 the company has been surprising its fans and retail partners worldwide with an incomparable and inexhaustible variety of new furniture, lighting and furnishing accessories, all expressing an intense passion for design. They include fascinating discoveries from obscure artisan workshops and slightly crazy but unique pieces of furniture creating a ‘wow’ effect, not to mention lovingly crafted solid wood furniture that will be cherished for a lifetime.
