A very much needed space to get your work done outside of your workplace, and that deserves a lot of attention!
You know how some days you work as if you’re on a roll, powering through task after task – and magically get everything done with time to spare? Then other times everything seems kind of uninspiring and you start doing tasks that aren’t even on your to-do list, but even then you just can’t seem to finish anything? Learning how to stay efficient and productive is one of the most important tasks of our professional careers, whatever our work involves. That’s why you need to take care of your home office!

One of the ways to boost productivity is by improving our work environment, so check out these tips for how to adjust your home office to create an inspiring space.
Exploit natural daylight
The first thing you need to do if you want to see your productivity increase is to observe how the sun behaves in your office throughout the day, and then choose a desk position that will take advantage of the daylight. Daylight plays an important role in being productive, as it keeps us inspired and, more importantly, awake. One other thing you can do is choose the right lighting design for when your working at night! This is a very important step because light can protest many different symptoms on you, and you don’t want a lamp that makes you feel tired, for example!
If you often work on a computer, make sure you take glare into consideration when you’re choosing your desk’s position. You could test this out by standing with your laptop in different areas around your room to see which position works best. More important than the office decor, it has to be the perfect lighting!
Find a comfortable chair
Let’s just face it, because we are under the impression that this is a topic no one talks about! Most of us spend a lot of time sitting at a desk, so it’s important to get a chair that not only looks good but is truly comfortable. When you go chair hunting, remember to sit on all of the contestants and pay attention to lower back support and arm support, as well as general comfort. Just make sure it’s not too comfortable!
It has to have the perfect balance between being comfortable and being ideal to work in! It doesn’t matter if it’s cute and perfectly fits your house design if it doesn’t get the job done correctly!
Put your desk in a power position
This is actually a feng shui tip. A power position for your desk is any place in which you will be able to see the door of your home office. The psychology behind it is that having a door behind you and not knowing when somebody might come in can make you really tense, and hence less productive.
So place your table in the middle of the room and that will help you when it comes to being productive and will also combine a lot better with your statement home decor!
Miles table lamp is a classic mid-century modern table lamp, which brings back the sophisticated atmosphere of the 50s. It is handmade in brass, with an aluminum shade. The body has a copper plated finish for a more contemporary look, while the shade is lacquered a matte black on the outside and a white matte on the inside. It is essentially a copper table lamp that casts a soft glaze that will suit your modern entryway in the most flattering way. It also looks stunning when put on display as an office lamp, so don’t be afraid to try and use it as a sophisticated study table lamp.
