This pendant lamp was inspired by the microscopic organisms living in our oceans, New Zealand-based designer David Trubridge has created Navicula, a light fixture made from CNC cut bamboo plywood. The curved pieces of cut wood and the way they’ve been arranged on the fixture give Navicula a skin or shell-like appearance similar to that of the ocean diatoms that inspired the lighting design.
