2018 marks the year dedicated to cultural heritage throughout Europe, in light of this occasion this year’s edition of Bologna Design Week aims to involve even more professionals, avid design enthusiasts, citizens and tourists to explore thematic itineraries throughout the city.
Starting today, from Tuesday, September 25 to Saturday, September 29, there will be exhibitions, workshops, competitions, screenings, guided tours and design talks that will enliven the old town. Taking place in the city center, these activities will reinforce the central role of communication and content developed during the 36th edition of the Cersaie exhibition.
Headquarters, as usual, the eighteenth-century Palazzo Isolani, flanked by historic buildings, museums, universities, academies, art galleries, theaters, private houses, and showrooms. You really get lost, almost at the level of Art City, and from this year on their website, you can download the BDW18 app with the interactive map and the day by day event calendar for free.
There you will also find: the urban forest designed by Cucinella for Piazza Santo Stefano, forty oaks that will be the setting for some events directed by Davide Rondoni; the exhibition by Mario Nanni, master of light and founder of the Viabizzuno factory, hears and becomes light inside the Esprit Nouveau Pavilion; the grand opening that happened today, started with a lecture by the great architect and designer Massimo Iosa Ghini.
In this event, you will be able to find many ideas to apply in your house design. Also noteworthy is the Design White Night on September 26th, September 27th. About the party, you can find the online magazine festival that tells you the story of creative Bologna and the vintage market of theatrical furnishings and sets on Saturday 29th September in the foyer of the Teatro Comunale.
