Founded in 1996 by David Calligeros, Remains Lighting has evolved from an off-the-beaten-path antique resource to a world-class maker of homes and custom lighting, mirrors and candlesticks. The company fixtures are of the highest quality and craftsmanship, each one made by hand to order in the Remains LEED Gold certified factory in Brooklyn, New York.

Illumé

223 East 58th Street, between 2nd and 3rd Avenues

Illumé is a boutique that specializes in high-quality custom and ready-made lampshades. Illumé features chic lampshade designs hand-made here in NYC, Connecticut, and even imported from Paris and Montreal. This is the brand that perfectly fits homes style. Illumé also offers specialty finials, antiques, candles, decorative light bulbs, and a lamp . The gallery and is open from 10 am to 6-ish Monday through Friday.

Artemide was founded by Ernesto Gismondi and Sergio Mazza in 1960 in Milan. Artemide specializes in the manufacture of created by designers and architects.
