L’Hôtel Marrakech, Morocco
L’Hôtel Marrakech is a privately owned Riad set in the heart of the ‘red city’s’ Medina. L’Hôtel is conveniently close to the vibrant Jemaa El Fna square, the bustling Souk, and nearby the 12h-century Koutoubia Mosque. This historic 19th-century riad, originally the central part of a Caidal palace, comprises five spacious suites surrounding a uniquely wide courtyard garden and swimming pool.
The roof terrace offers extraordinary views of the Atlas mountains and the skyline of Marrakech. This charming retreat combines delicious food, great comfort, and service whilst capturing the elegance of hotels of the 1930s.
Do you want anything better than this? This is going to rock your world! Whatever it’s outdoor or interior design ideas, this hotel is one of the most beautiful out there! In the evening, dinner can be enjoyed in the dining room. On cooler nights the curtains are drawn and a fire is lit whilst traditional Moroccan food is served. On warmer evenings large glass doors open out onto the courtyard garden allowing the gentle sound of the water fountain and the scents of the garden to flow through rooms.
Villa La Coste, Provence, France
Located in the midst of the French Provence, within the Château La Coste Vineyard and only minutes from the Luberon Nature Park, is the Villa La Coste, a hotel design that represents the soul of French “Art de Vivre”. Here you will find not only great interiors but also some outdoor ideas for your own house.
The hotel’s vast art collection includes the work of international heavyweights such as Paul Matisse, Damien Hirst, and Ai Weiwei. Not limiting its sensory delights for the eyes, the hotel offers exceptional biodynamic wines from Château La Coste and spa therapies inspired from the rich Luberon region.
Authentic and individual in its contemporary refinement, Villa La Coste is in complete affinity with the artistic spirit of the Domain. Composed of 28 Villa Suites, a spa, a library and a bar, the Villa seduces those with a sensibility for art, beauty and the comfort of living. Developed with an eye for detail and a sincere respect for the traditions of Provence, the spacious Villa Suites allow light oak wood, marble, and natural stone to sit comfortably together.
Mar Adentro, Cabo San Lucas, Mexico
Not a trace of stucco at this hyper-futuristic resort where designer Miguel Ángel Aragonés makes you feel as if you’re walking on water. This piece of land, located in the middle of a coastline dotted with “All Inclusive,” would have to be transformed into a box that contained its own sea –practically its own air– given the happy circumstance that the universe had created a desert joined to the sea along a horizontal line. It was the purest, most minimalist landscape a horizon could have drawn.
I believe that the greatest virtue of architecture is the generation of sensations through space on a series of planes that are found within the realm of sensitivity. I believe this capacity becomes still greater when your surroundings allow you to meld into them, forming thus part of your own space; in this sense, I wanted to take that horizon and bring it into the foreground.
Words from the architect of this project, Miguel Ángel Aragonés.
Il Sereno, Lake Como, Italy
Il Sereno Lago di Como is a small and intimate ultra-luxury hotel in the iconic shores of Lake Como. Respecting its natural and historical surroundings, the hotel joins a select group of illustrious properties in this exclusive destination.
Building on the success of Le Sereno St. Barth’s, the owners joined forces with Milan-based designer Patricia Urquiola to introduce a contemporary and more relaxed interpretation of luxury, design and personalized service to Lake Como. The result is a unique hotel design retreat that is regarded as the most stylish and private sanctuary among the lake’s prestigious collection of hotels.
